First Christian Church hosts TCA
Tucker Civic Association and its Tucker Lifelong Community committee were invited to speak at the First Christian Church on LaVista Rd. Also there to speak were David Fisher, Networks, Michael Deleon, Caring Transitions, Peggy Palmiter, LifeSpan Resources, and Jonathan Clark. Edward Jones.
Tom Edmondson, pastor at First Christian, has been a strong support for the Yellow Dot program, TCA’s safety communication project and for the Dealing with Dementia workshops that TCA supports.
Guy Van Ort and Lois Ricci spoke to the First Christian congregation about Tucker Civic Association’s (TCA) plan to see Tucker designated a World Health Organization (WHO) Age Friendly Community and the GA Dept. of Health Yellow Dot program that TCA brought to Tucker residents. Yellow Dot is a free program designed to help first responders provide lifesaving medical attention when there is a medical emergency.
Any resident of Tucker can contact the Tucker Civic Association for information and the packets that are placed in the glove compartment of a vehicle and/or on your refrigerator. Yellow dots are in the packet for placement on the rear window of the vehicle and a visible location at home.
Thank you to Tom Edmondson and First Christian.
